    We are Kaunis Iron

Since 2018, we have been operating the iron ore mine in Pajala. With a strong local commitment, our ambition is to build a business that lasts long-term and works sustainably. We produce approximately 2.3 million tons of iron ore concentrate every year, which, with its quality and environmental advantages, is in high demand among the world's steel mills. The business employs about 550 people and has an annual turnover of approximately SEK 3 billion. In addition to Kaunisvaara, we are located in Pajala, Junosuando, Pitkäjärvi and Luleå.
