Safety first

Safety always comes first. We never compromise on the safety procedures and the fundamental responsibility we have to ensure a work environment that safeguards the safety of all employees and contractors.

We conduct extensive operations that entail risks to both people and the environment. Safety is a priority in our operations. Safe operations help ensure our employees feel secure at work and maintain their health and well-being. It also strengthens our ability to attract people interested in working in the mining industry in general.

Our safety performance is measured by the number of accidents resulting in absence per million hours worked. In 2025, this figure was 4.6. We are constantly working to improve the guidelines and procedures governing our daily operations. We provide continuous training and information to maintain awareness of existing risks and the importance of adhering to our procedures.

Our safety efforts extend beyond our gates and industrial site. Our transport operations take place on public roads; therefore, in cooperation with the Swedish Transport Administration, we are investing in reinforcing and improving the relevant road sections. A total of SEK 1.2 billion is being invested.

Our facility is classified under the Seveso Directive because we handle chemicals, including fuels such as diesel and explosives. In accordance with EU requirements, we have a clear responsibility to prevent chemical accidents at our industrial site and to protect the public in the event of an accident.
